Turning Point November 13, 2004 Max Lawrence 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
The title of Phase 29 is quite apt, as the final two episodes on this disc mark a major turning point in the series, and their dramatic events more than make up for the disappointing recap episode at the beginning of the disk.
While the Archangel has taken temporary refuse in neutral Orb, and Cagalli's father Lord Uzumi Athha announces that the ship has left Orb territory, Athrun knows better, and infiltrates Orb's military base in an attempt to locate the Earth Alliance ship, leading to his first face to face meeting with Kira since their arrival on Earth. Once the Archangel leaves Orb territory, the battle with the stolen Gundams is renewed. But this time, not all of the young soldiers will leave the battlefield alive.
Great Episodes November 30, 2004 John Dibble (Ellenwood, Ga) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Normally, a clip-based episode like episode 26 would knock a star or two off a DVD, but not in this case. Episodes 29 and 30 are two of the best episodes yet and are full of action, drama, suspense, and suprise. I highly recommend this DVD just for those two episodes alone if nothing else.
Two Thumbs up! May 9, 2005 Yay for Music! 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is where the whole series changes direction.Through pain and a final fight, Athrun and Kira end their feud and start anew. This is must see! This is the volume where all is explained, don't miss it! I also recommend buying 1-5 first.
The Volume Based on Emotions February 21, 2006 B. Ryals (Florida) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This volume of the Gundam Seed set is really somewhat boring in the first episode, but don't be fooled because the tension quickly rises between the Earth and ZAFT forces. Episodes 27 and 28 build up to the fight in episodes 29 and 30. The last two episodes of this volume are quite possibly two of the most emotional episodes I have ever seen in any anime series. All of the young pilots go into battle again and the onslaught of emotions causes the loss of several main characters. This volume really shows the down-side of war and is a masterpiece in capturing the hearts of the audience.
Even a clip show deserves credit.... March 22, 2005 M. S. Velez (Camuy, Puerto Rico) This dvd features one of the greatest fights in the series (personal favorite)but you only get 4 episodes because the first one is just a clip show but let me tell ya even the clip show is awsome, sure its a recap of all that we all well know but what makes it great for me has to be the music played out trough the whole episode and dvd. It's really a great series and even a clip show deserves credit...^_^
